We have worked with clients to create training for program management and implementation staff on topics ranging from Conflict Sensitivity to Community Resilience Building, Social Enterprise, Human-Centred Design, Gender, Safeguarding, and program-specific technical subjects.  No matter what subject matter your organization deals with, our staff can work alongside your technical experts to create an effective learning program for any audience.

We have helped clients develop training materials for Community Health Workers, Agricultural Extension Workers, Civil Society Monitors, Disaster Response Volunteers, and other community-based staff. This includes everything from traditional in-person training materials (PowerPoint decks, printed flip books, job aids, etc.) to multimedia and interactive content. We can also advise on strategies for distributing content and assessing workers’ skill acquisition

Many of our projects involved creating materials aimed at donors and partner organizations including government agencies, local NGOs, and the larger humanitarian community. We have helped clients set up knowledge portals providing resources for national and local NGOs, and developed publicly available courses on SGBV, climate, food security, and public health emergency management that have been adopted by multiple national governments and universities.

We have developed a range of courses to help NGOs with general organizational capacity-building, including management skills, communications skills, financial management, digital literacy, proposal writing, coaching and mentoring skills, and more.

Training Disaster Management Teams for International Emergencies.

The International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) hired Sonata Learning to redesign its onboarding program for surge personnel, with the aim of reducing the time and expense to prepare team members for deployment. This was a massive undertaking, as participants required training on everything from logistics to cultural awareness, supervising volunteers, and information management.
